The most iconic office complex in Lisbon

Office Park Expo (OPE) stands out as one of the most emblematic office developments in Portugal, by its size, specifications, location, quality, but also by housing the headquarters of several of the most important courts and central services of the Ministry of Justice.

OPE is the biggest and most iconic office complex in the heart of Lisbon. Located just in front of Tagus river in the Parque das Nações neighborhood. It is composed of 10 office buildings between 3 to 18 floors, which correspond to a total 78.000 sqm of offices. A wide garden brings vegetal life to the urban surroundings.

The project was conceived in the aftermath of the 1998 Lisbon World’s Fair, by internationally renowned Architect Frederico Valsassina.

Parque das Nações is a new area in Lisbon specifically created to welcome the 1998 Lisbon World’s Fair, which celebrated the 500th anniversary of Vasco de Gama’s arrival in India in 1498. The area was conceived just in from the of the Tagus River and in front of the second longest European bridge (12km – Vasco de Gama bridge).

The original master plan of the Parque das Nações area projected a 600,000 sqm provision of office space, the vast majority of it located between Avenida Dom Joao II and Alameda dos Oceanos. Of those original 600,000, circa 160,000 were built as hotels, equipment or other usages, and circa 400,000 were built as office space.

The Parque das Nações area has consolidated its positioning as one of the most modern, efficient and appealing areas for office occupiers, by offering competitive office space, a wide set of amenities, a convenient location and a recognized address.
Several national and multinational companies have their HQ in the area, such as Microsoft, IBM, Novabase, CTT (Portuguese postal services), Vodafone, among others.
The vast majority resulted from relocations, recognizing the superior infrastructure and services the area provides.

Campus da Justiça

Since 2008, the Portuguese Ministry of Justice is the unique occupier of the office space of OPE. For the purpose of its activities, specific work spaces such as courts, open spaces, closed offices, stocking area and public waiting zones were implemented.

24h/24 Security, CCTV system and special maintenance of the building is one of the many features of the daily management of the complex.
